Creatures are the first artificial life computer pet game ever that
contains real digital DNA.
Creatures let you hatch your'e first creature-pet thats is like
a alive animal.
Creatures is about:hatch,name,eat,sleep,get sick,talk,breed,grow,play
with toys, learn and think and eventualy die.
Many would hear this would probely think "Ho no,not another Tamagochi
thing again", but theyre even more advanced then that. ^^
Duo cos theyre have a genetical structure, they can learn and behave as
you like, by petting (reward) and slap (punish) em, by using a hand, wich
is you in the game.
And they also have theyre own personalite, no two creatures is the same
(even if some of em would look alike), and that mean it will even happen
that it isnt allways they do as you want cos they have theyre own will.
Your'e playing a big role as some kind of parent or even ruler if you
want, that let you do many things.
By being the hand, thats the way your'e creature see you.
You can pick up,drop objects like food, toy etc, and also do act to your'e
creature, like give him/her food, give it some toy's to play with and talk
to it, and most of the important things, teach what is wrong
and right to learn to survive.
The Creatures are curios little animals that do and act as children and,as
all living things, need to know whats good and bad for em.
This is a very simple way to teach em, by being the hand, you can smack
the creature's buttom by making it to understand it did something wrong, and
doing that more likely will make it understand that was a bad thing and
will not do that again, and by tickling it on the nose, it gains reward,
make it think it did something good.
Creatures do even have feelings and also can express themself what they
need, they use theyre expression via telling you, thats right, they can
talk.
But in the beginning, a newborn cant talk....or well it can, but you wont
understand much of its "baby talk", so to know what it want
to tell you, theres a learning machine that teach the creatures some verbs
and words, wich will make you understand em better and even ask them to
do something.
And as a living thing, they also need to eat, sleep and play with toys to
keep em happy.
Theres many kind of toys to not get em bored, and a lot of varity of food,
but theres also a lot of growing plant to help you, but be carefull cos
theres also some dangerous plants that can be deadly!
Now you wonder actuly where does creatures lives, cos it dosnt sound like
it is going to grow some plants, food or toys on your'e desktop, right?
Well the answer is no, they living in theyre own world, a big world, called
Albia.
And it dosnt only contain this pet-creature animals,it does even have
it's echo-system,with some critters and plants.
The world do have its wonders, like some places can be drifting
with some invisible bacteria, making your'e pet sick
and can sometimes lead to death!
And other areas contains new plants, toy's and generaly food.
Sickness is what all creatures can get in real life, right?
So do this pets too, but some can be cured by using healing plants, or
let em rest a lot.
The uniq thing in creatures is they can breed!
the baby will inherite some or all of both parents properties and will
also look like a mix of its parents look.
The baby can also been teached from its parents, like how to eat, play with
toys,stay out from dangers etc.
As long as you've raised the two parental creatures to being good surviver's
and how to talk, there will be a high chance that the baby will also grow
and become a great pet,but it will also have its own personalite so it
might not allways be as free-willing as its parents maybe was .
But like in real life,Even there some small or big things can occure, like
mutants,handicap etc
So not all baby creatures will be as perfect as the generation may continue,
and sometimes sad events like genetic error, will say a hatched death
baby, leaving sad parents *and eventuly you as well,as the breeder*.
All creatures are born from eggs, therefrom a egg that hatch, will let
a new life into the world, being a young fellow that has to learn and grow.
You can allways choose from six eggs,to be your'e starter pet, 3 males
and 3 females, making you able to breed a starter pair later on.
You may think why do i say "creatures" all the time?
Well yes,the game is maybe titled creatures, but the pets in the
game do have real names.
The game itself is actuly focused on the main pet, norns as this
ones are known.
Theyre cute fury and small things thats pretty much intelligent and can
sometimes be reminded as
mogwais from the gremlin movie (the cute small furry things)
and it is actuly this ones your'e hacthing, breeding and teaching.
But the reason why i say creatures instead of creature or norns,is
because theres actuly other creatures there, yes other pets, as i would
like to say.
The one more then the peacefull, curious norns, are no other then the grendels.
Theyre mean reptiles but do have same needs and genetical strucutre.
And theres another one,called Ettins.
I will tell more about each creature pets later on.
And also the Shee, the creator of this 3 main reatures, wich
remain quite mysterious, cos not much about em.

The Creatures do grow,as all living things might do,and as they
get older,they will develop
as they grow.
Like for an example: A new hacthed baby norn have been born recently, and
everything is new and exciting for him.He will try to eat everything, even
toys or try his way to discover how food or lift buttons works. But he
will also be a easy pray for catching virus and infection.
Later he will become a child, in this life stage, he wants to know everything, how
things work and names of objects.thats the best thing to teach him words.
Then when time pass, he will end up to a fully grown adult norn.
Changing slowly he's genes inside his body.
Wich will lead to that norn might think of getting a own family of norns
and find a girl of his life.
More times pass, and he will start to get old, become likely more senile
and forget most of the words youv'e teached and is somewhat slow.
He will also become more easy for being a victim of bacteria, like a baby
norn.
And living, hopefully, a good and long life, he will after a time of being
old, eventualy but sad, like for real animals, die.
